Privacy Policy

What we collect, what we do not, and who else is involved.

Gaborone.com is a static website. We do not ask you to create an account, we do not run our own advertising network, and we do not sell data to anybody.

What we collect ourselves

Nothing directly. There are no forms on this site, no login, no newsletter sign-up and no comment system. Your language preference, if you choose one from the switcher, is stored in your own browser’s local storage and never leaves your device.

Third-party services

  • GetYourGuide. We load the GetYourGuide widget and partner analytics script so that booking widgets work and bookings can be attributed to us. GetYourGuide may set cookies and process data under its own privacy policy.
  • Trip.com. Accommodation links point to Trip.com, which processes data under its own privacy policy once you follow a link.
  • Google Fonts. Typefaces are loaded from Google’s servers, which necessarily receive your IP address to deliver them.
  • Hosting and content delivery. Our hosting and CDN providers keep standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and performance.

Cookies

We set no cookies of our own. Third-party widgets and the partner sites you visit through our links may set theirs; you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to read this site.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion and objection regarding personal data. Because we hold no personal data about visitors ourselves, requests usually need to go to the third party concerned — but write to us and we will help where we can.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The current version is always on this page.
